There is a lot of debate currently ongoing that videos are the new medium and photos are taking a backseat in terms of quality content. With the rise of multiple video platforms, it is no wonder that video has become a popular source of content and people can watch videos for hours! (This can also be seen via YouTube – how many of you are guilty of binge watching YouTube for hours on your off days?)
We still prefer a combination of content as we notice that as long as you produce quality content, whether in video or photo form, it does garner engagement and reach. For example, a carousel post of different yoga poses that work well for stretching VS a video on this – both has its pros and cons. Some people would prefer the carousel so they can easily scroll and learn the pose without the video constantly moving (on Instagram you can’t pause the video!), whilst others would prefer to watch each step in the video. We are interested to know your thoughts on the type of content you are more drawn to, comment below! Are you #TeamPhotos or #TeamVideos? Let us know! XO, Your Pixies
